After founding member Kim Min Soo was tragically killed in an accident in 2008, the band (which had originally been a duo with Kim Min Soo and Lee Jin Sung) re-formed as a trio consisting of Lee Jin Sung, Han Seung Hui and Im Han Byu. Their specialty is wistfulness and heartbreak, and they’ve dished it up in both ethereal indie tracks and soaring ballads before.

Their newest mini-album, called The Ballad, leans (obviously) toward the latter…though there’s plenty of wistfulness still to be had. Check out the moody, atmospheric music video for “Shadow” (though it turns melodramatic toward the end). Note: there’s ain’t no happiness anywhere in sight in this video.
