Worth a Look

Along with all the cliched Christmas posts, this season occasionally brings out the best writing from bloggers and writers. Such is the case with Preston Yancey, who wrote a particularly beautiful blog piece recently.
“I imagine wrapping up sitting on the terra-cotta outside the buildings and away from that horrific metal statue and telling you all the dark parts of who I am, memories and deeds I hadn’t ever shared aloud with anyone before. I imagine how your face never changed, how to my amazement you didn’t seem to see me any differently. Though, that’s not quite true, you seemed to see me more than ever before.” [italics mine]
