Upcoming Films

Only the interesting ones.
Midnight in Paris. Newest Woody Allen film, and while I’m usually not a fan, I can’t even encapsulate how fantastic the cast is – Rachel McAdams, Owen Wilson, Marion Cotillard, Adrien Brody, Kathy Bates and the first lady of France herself in a cameo appearance. Also, it looks lighter and filled with more likable characters than is usual for an Allen film, and is set in Paris. Trailer
One Day. This one looks wonderful. Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess are a dream casting, and while Hathaway usually has good chemistry with her co-stars, it’s off the charts even in the preview in this one. A modern, warm, funny-bitter-sweet romance about two people who can’t be together and yet love each other? Sign me up!! Trailer
Margaret. The casting was great in the two previous films. But for me personally, it simply doesn’t get better than this. Matt Damon, Anna Paquin, and Mark Ruffalo. A young woman (Paquin) witnesses a bus accident, and is caught up in the aftermath, where the question of whether or not it was intentional affects many people’s lives. No trailer yet but check out the IMDB page
The Art of Getting By. Out of all these, however, this is the one that got me. I’m a sucker for stories about outcast loner intellectuals, and Freddie Highmore does something to my insides – such a fantastic actor. This reminds me of a more hopeful Keith. Trailer
